Furnished Extended Stays in the East Village and Lower East Side
Furnished corporate housing for relocating teams, executives, and families who need a real home while work or a move is in progress.
These adjacent downtown neighborhoods sit east of the Bowery, the East Village above Houston Street and the Lower East Side below it. Both are dominated by older tenement walk-ups, with newer buildings scattered along the wider avenues and near the East River. Because the boundary between them is a single street and listings use both names loosely, we cover them on one page.
The most useful local fact is transit geography. Subway coverage thins out toward the East River: the F line along Houston and Delancey and the J, M and Z lines at Essex Street do most of the work, and Alphabet City blocks near Avenues C and D are a real walk from any train, which is why bus and bike routes matter here more than in most of Manhattan.
We confirm stairs, term, noise exposure and what is included property by property before anyone commits.
What we arrange here
- Furnished apartments on 30-night-plus terms in walk-up and newer buildings
- Trial-neighborhood stays before signing a permanent downtown lease
- Renovation and between-homes placements
- Quieter alternatives when nightlife exposure is a concern
Areas covered on this page
East Village
Above Houston Street, including Alphabet City toward the river. Mostly walk-ups, active nightlife on certain corridors, and the longest walks to a subway on the far eastern avenues.
Lower East Side
Below Houston Street toward the bridges. Similar building stock with more new construction along the avenues and near the waterfront, plus Essex Street as a stronger transit anchor.
What to confirm for this area
- How many flights of stairs, since elevators are the exception
- Distance to the specific subway line you need, especially east of Avenue B
- Street-level noise, which varies sharply block to block
Rent, fees, parking and availability are confirmed property by property. Nothing here is a guarantee of a specific home.
Local questions
Where does the East Village end and the Lower East Side begin?
Houston Street is the usual dividing line, though listings ignore it. We work from the cross streets you give us.
Is nightlife a problem for a long stay?
On certain corridors it can be. We ask which exposure you want and steer to calmer blocks if you prefer.
