For international hires and their employers
Furnished housing for employees arriving from abroad
New hires coming to New York or New Jersey from India, Korea, Japan, Europe and elsewhere usually land without a US credit history, a Social Security number or a bank account, which rules out most regular leases. We place them in furnished apartments that the company can book and pay for, close to the office, for the first one to three months while they settle in.
- No US credit history or Social Security number needed when the company books
- Ready on arrival day: furniture, kitchen, WiFi, linens
- Near Jersey City, Iselin, Edison, Princeton, Manhattan and other offices
- Help finding a permanent apartment before the stay ends
Why new arrivals get stuck
Most US landlords ask for a credit score, pay stubs and income of 40 times the rent. Someone who just arrived on a work visa has none of that yet. Hotels work for a week, but not for two months with a family.
When the employer is our client, the company signs and pays, so the employee does not need US credit. We confirm the apartment in writing before the flight.
What we need from HR
The employee's name, start date, office location, family size, budget and how long the company is covering housing. If several people are arriving in the same month, send them together and we place them near each other.
We also help with what comes next: a licensed agent for the permanent rental, and a relocation home search if the family wants to buy later.
