For long-term renters
Long-term apartment rentals in New York City and New Jersey
When the furnished stay ends, most people want a regular 12-month lease. We match you with a licensed rental agent in the neighborhood you want and, if you are still arriving, set up a furnished stay so you can look in person instead of signing a lease from overseas.

- Help for renters without a US credit history
- Pet-friendly and parking searches
- A furnished stay first, so you never sign sight unseen
Renting in New York City
Under New York City's FARE Act, which took effect in June 2025, the party that hires a broker pays that broker. When a landlord lists with a broker, the tenant usually does not pay the broker fee. Your agent explains in writing who pays what before you apply.
Buildings often ask for income of 40 times the monthly rent or a guarantor. If you are new to the US, ask about institutional guarantor services and buildings that accept an offer letter.
Renting in New Jersey
Jersey City, Hoboken and the Gold Coast towns have large rental buildings with quick approvals and a short PATH or ferry ride to Manhattan. Bergen County has more houses and garden apartments for families who want space and schools.
