For an extended stay the choice is straightforward once you know which is which: the borough suits someone working at the courts or county offices who wants to walk, with older houses and small multi-family buildings; the township suits someone who needs parking, a newer townhouse or condominium and highway access to Route 9, Route 33 and the Turnpike. Neither has a rail station, so rail means driving to a North Jersey Coast Line or Northeast Corridor station.
